The Scott Brown Project is an
urban/contemporary jazz album featuring session keyboardist/jazz
artist Scott Brown. A mix of instrumental jazz ,with urban sensibilities
and smooth vocals. Guest's include: Hiram Bullock (Guitar), Victor
Bailey (Bass), Gene Lake (Drums) and Alex Foster (Sax). The debut
album boasts 10 original compositions that include the soulful
vocal stylings of R & B vocalist Christopher Williams (New
Jack City) on two tracks. Produced by Roey Shamir and Angela
Piva, the record breaks today's conventions in that it features
all live musicians, not a stiff sequenced computer, yet it still
retains an urban feel. A glimpse at the future of where contemporary
jazz is moving towards. Inspired by: Duke Ellington, Jaco
Pastorious and Don Grolnick.
Scott Brown 's sophisticated playing is exceptional, soul
stirring and his compositions show a true depth of spirit and
emotions. The universal language of Music, comes through clearly
on his record.
